| For your safety
and security, Vonics Digital has partnered with a number of Tier 1
carriers to deliver E911 service to our US customers at no additional cost.
Vonics Digital continues to improve its network of partners to deliver
the most comprehensive solutions that protect life and property.
It is important to note that there are
some differences with the way E911 Service works compared to
traditional phone service. Please review some of these differences in

you have traditional phone service and a phone that does not plug
into power. During large neighborhood power outages you could experience
phone line outage. |
 |
Please
note that although most municipalities are covered by this service
some are not and therefore, you should have an alternate method of
accessing emergency services. Vonics Digital customers will
be notified of the limitation when they place their order. |
 |
In
order E911 to work properly you must register a new primary location
every time you move your telephone adapter to a different address
location. |
Because our customers’ safety is of the utmost importance, Vonics Digital recommends using your mobile phone or traditional, analog, phone as your back up in case of emergency. As a visible reminder for you, your family and visitors of the critical information which the emergency dispatcher will need in case of an emergency; please print and post the prepared placard near your phone(s).
When
dialing Enhanced 911, your phone call will route to the Public Safety
Answering Point (PSAP) responding to the service address you registered
for your service. In the event that you dial 911, the emergency operator
at PSAP receives the registered name, address, and phone number of the
caller. Therefore the caller does not need to provide his/her location
to the operator. To use this feature you must register
for E911 service. Also every time you move your device at a new physical
location you must need to re-configure your
location with E911 service. The registration process may take several
hours to take effect. Once your newly registered location is configured
you will receive a confirmation email.
Customers in locations
where the local emergency center is not equipped to receive telephone
numbers and address information automatically have basic 911. Basic 911,
requires that local emergency operators answering your call will ask you
for your phone number and physical location address, therefore be prepared
to provide this information to them.
Some customers may
not have access to either basic 911 or E911. If you don't have access
to basic 911 or E911 your 911 call will be sent to the Vonics Digital
emergency call center. You will be asked to provide your name, telephone
number and your location, and then contact the local emergency center
for such customer in order to send help. Emergency personnel do not directly
receive your phone number or physical location when your 911 call is routed
to the Vonics Digital emergency call center. In these cases Vonics Digital
personnel provide your physical location and phone number for emergency
personnel to respond.
It is important to
remember that Vonics Digital E911 dialing service will not function
in the event of a broadband or power outage (without a backup UPS) or
if your broadband, ISP or Vonics Digital phone service is suspended
or terminated. FOR REASONS SUCH AS THESE, VONICS DIGITAL
STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU ALWAYS HAVE ALTERNATE MEANS OF CALLING FOR
911 SERVICES.
If you have Call Forwarding, Call Hunt, or other features programmed and
in use at the time you dial a 911 call, if your call is interrupted the
emergency dispatcher may not be able to call you back at the phone from
which you dialed the call.
